Today Anna and i will go to the central part of the highlands at Hveravellir at Kjölur and stay there with the rescue team. Anna will stay for the weekend and i will stay there for a whole week. Anna has to work and earn some money for food, since i got unemployed;0)
the rescue team is on duty-watch 24/7 while we are there in case of a rescue mission. this could be anything from people getting lost, injured, falling into crevasses, people getting stuck with their cars on bad roads or in river crossings. basically anything can happen and we have to be there for the public. it will be a lot of fun and we will see a lot of beautiful landscape and get to know our fellow members of the rescue team. i look forward to this trip, especially getting away from school and my thesis...
